Audencial works as a morning news anchor at FOX 5. Prior to becoming an anchor, he started his new journey behind the scenes. She interned, produced, and wrote at the local San Diego ABC affiliate, KGTV in 2006. Then she joined KSWB FOX 5 and KUSI as a morning and weekend producer.
Unfortunately, she left San Diego to sign on at KREX News Channel 5 in Grand Junction, Colorado as a general assignment reporter. There, she also, produced, shot, and edited her own stories. In San Diego, she worked for U-T TV as an anchor/reporter.
At U-T TV, she established U-T TV’s very first UT San Diego morning newscast. Moreover, she had the incredible experience of traveling to the Philippines to cover recovery efforts following the destruction of Typhoon Haiyan which earned her, her first Emmy award.
She came back to KSWB FOX 5 for a “second tour,” but as a reporter. The station changed her role after two and a half years of reporting evening newscasts and now has her waking up with San Diego as a morning anchor. Audencial received her Bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of California, San Diego, after graduating from high school in Singapore.
