Being a graduate of Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart, she is proud to be from the 716. Before joining the station she worked in the Lynchburg/Roanoke, Virginia, market at WSET – TV as a reporter.
Prior to that, Kristen interned with two local stations in Western and Central New York and also had internships with network news organizations. She interned with ABC Network News in the company’s Los Angeles bureau in the spring of 2019. While at the Dolby Theatre, she covered the 91st Academy Awards in Hollywood. Afterward, in that summer, she interned with NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt. Mirand would assist Holt on some shoots that would air in the evening broadcast.
Kristen worked with CNN to help cover the New Hampshire primary in early 2020. During her free time, she loves working out, trying all of the good eats in Buffalo, spending time with her family and friends, and cooking.
