Bokamper is a sports anchor and reporter for CBS4 News. He is a former Miami Dolphins. In the mid-’70s and ’80s, he was one of the best-known members of the world-champion Miami Dolphins. Being a linebacker, he joined the team in 1976 as a first-round draft choice. He went on to play in two Pro Bowls ’80 and ’81 and as a starting defensive end for Super Bowls XVII ’82 and XIX ’84. In 1981 he attained an Outstanding Linebacker Award.
Bokamper has pursued a successful career in broadcasting since he retired from the game. He was also the host of “Sports Talk 610” on WIOD from ’92 to ’96, during which time he also hosted the Dolphin’s pre-game and post-game shows. He also worked as a football analyst for Channel 33’s “Sunday Night Sports Rap” from ’93 to ’96 and since ’96, he’s hosted on 560 WQAM for the “Sports Talk”.
Being a successful businessman and consultant, Kim donates his time to a number of charitable organizations, such as the Cystic Fibrosis Association, the United Way, the American Cancer Association, and the Special Olympics. He has also served as president of both the Miami Chapter of the NFL Alumni Association and the Miami Dolphins Alumni Association.
