Kelsey is a reporter working for WTKR. She previously worked in Northern Virginia where she worked as a Chantilly Bureau reporter for WDVM25 in Hagerstown, Maryland. She has reported on stories from the coronavirus pandemic, Governor Ralph Northam legalizing marijuana Black Lives Matter protests in Washington, D.C., and the 2021 Virginia primary elections. Kelsey knew she wanted to work in the news since high school, getting her feet wet doing sports coverage. She gained experience reporting, editing, and anchoring for VCU InSight which aired on Richmond’s local PBS station.
She interned for WRIC 8 News in Richmond Virginia from June 2018 to August 2018, as an intern she was able to work with the news and sales department and report breaking news. Kelsey is an active member of the National Association of Black Journalists. During her leisure time, she loves to travel, spend time with her family/friends, brunch, and mentoring. Kelsey has always been passionate about helping people. She is thrilled to make new connections in her community and to tell your stories.
