Watts is a meteorologist working for WBRZ-TV. “The weather patterns that produce tornadoes in the Southeast sparked his interest at an early age,” he claims. As an intern for Little Rock, Arkansas’ ABC affiliate KATV-TV, Keller got his start in meteorology. He accepted his first position with WLBT-TV in Jackson, Mississippi, where he worked for five years before moving on to WAAY-TV in Huntsville, Alabama, where he worked as a morning meteorologist for four years. Keller was chosen to travel to the then-Communist USSR in the summer of 1991 as part of a U.S.-led Cultural Exchange Consortium, allowing him to witness history being made.
He was in Moscow’s Red Square just two days before the Soviet coup of August 19, which saw Communist Party members attempt to overthrow Soviet Union President Mikhail Gorbachev and eventually result in the fall of Communism. Along with his wife, Kristi, and kids, Lily Kathryn and Lucy, Keller currently resides in Baton Rouge. He likes storm-chasing, playing tennis, and golf, and walking his tiny schnauzer, Sadie. Additionally, he likes to spend time with his wife and daughters. He is employed full-time with the ExxonMobil Corporation in Baton Rouge during his free time.
