McGilvery is a weekday morning anchor for FOX 61 News from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. Previously before joining FOX 61, he worked in Burlington, Vermont at WCAX-TV, the CBS affiliate where he co-anchored the Channel 3 News at 11 and co-hosted the station’s daily talk show, “The:30.” The assignment had Keith doing everything from interviewing musicians and politicians to training for a road race, learning Jiu-Jitsu, and cooking. He also reported at 5 and 6 for Channel 3 News.
Keith began her career in Charlottesville, Virginia at WVIR/NBC29 serving as a general assignment reporter. McGilvery interned with ABC’s Good Morning America, 20/20, and Primetime Live while in New York City. He is the recipient of the Fordham College Alumni Award, recognizing academic excellence as well as his work with the Special Olympics and other community groups.
For his work as a young journalist, McGilvery attained the Radio-Television News Directors Foundation’s Abe Schechter Scholarship and was named a “Rising Star” by Vermont Business Magazine. He loves traveling and has backpacked across five continents and enjoys speaking with students about his adventures.
