Marler is a Morning News Anchor and Reporter for WJHL-TV. He started his career in broadcasting in his home state of Nebraska. He has spent most of his years as a Sports Anchor and Reporter but began in 2009 as a Weekend News Anchor and continues as the Morning Anchor here on WJHL-TV.
After graduating from the University, Kasey produced a local sports program. He worked at KLKN and KHGI (NTV) in Nebraska as a Sports Anchor then at KJRH in Tulsa, followed by almost 10 years as a Weekend Sports Anchor at WJHL-TV. He has traveled the country covering some of the biggest events in sports. Some of his highlights include watching Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, and Gary Player in one of their final events together.
Marler is proud that WJHL News gave him the freedom and opportunity that led to the Tennessee Associated Press Best TV Sportscaster Awards from 2011 to 2012. Sports Director Kenny Hawkins and Kasey teamed up for three Tennessee Best Sports Program Awards for TDFN and The Virginia Associated Press Award for Year-Round Sports Coverage in 2004. During his free time, he enjoys working out, spending time with his family, and playing golf.
