Brogadir is a sports reporter at WCVB SportsCenter 5. He works with Duke Castiglione, and Bob Halloran, and Naoko Funayama. Since August 2016, he worked as a general assignment reporter for WCVB’s NewsCenter 5 team. Before joining WCVB, he worked in Boston as a sports anchor at Comcast SportsNet New England (CSNNE) and at New England Cable News (NECN) as a news reporter.
He has reported numerous moments that have changed lives in New England, including manhunts through Cambridge and Watertown, the deadly tornado that carved a path through western and central Massachusetts, Worcester firefighter Christopher Roy; the capture of James ‘Whitey’ Bulger in Santa Monica, CA; the attack in Sandy Hook, CT; the line-of-duty deaths of Weymouth Police Sgt. Michael Chesna and the line-of-duty deaths of Weymouth Police Sgt. Michael Chesna and the Boston Marathon bombings.
Prior to coming back to Boston, he worked at WNEP-TV in Scranton, PA as a reporter and anchor. There he won an Associated Press award for investigative journalism; at KREX- TV in Grand Junction, CO; WHOI-TV in Peoria, IL and at KNSD-TV in San Diego, CA worked as a producer. Before that, he worked at Walsh Middle School in Framingham as a two-way bilingual (Spanish) teacher and football coach.
He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where he used to play varsity lightweight (now Sprint) tackle football. Brogadir volunteers and assists in raising funds for the ALS Association and other important organizations.
Apart from being a sports reporter, he is also a voiceover artist and actor, with more than 50 films and TV/Web series, commercials to his credit, audiobooks, and plays. During his free time, he can always be found hiking the trails of New England with his family, running, or biking.
