Markhoff is a reporter for WIS-TV. Before joining the station, she worked at WCJB TV 20 News in Gainesville, FL as a Multimedia Journalist and Weekend Anchor for two years. After graduating from college, she worked in Orlando at News 6 WKMG as a producer for the 4:30 a.m. newscast and filling in on the Noon. While at WCJB she covered a wide range of stories including the impacts of continuous billing issues within the City of Gainesville’s public utility.
Jordyn also followed the impacts of the controversial “Parental Rights in Education” bill Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed into law, known to critics as the “Don’t Say Gay” law, which sparked protests statewide. She has won awards for her coverage on these issues at the 2022 Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists awards.
During Markhoff time at University of Central Florida, she was involved in fundraising efforts for Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, Orlando’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, UCF’s Dance Minor program, choreographing and performing for the program’s annual concert. During her free time, Jordyn enjoys cooking, spending time outdoors, reading a good book, looking for the best food spots in Columbia, and dancing.
