After completing his undergraduate in 2012, he became its alumnus with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Meteorology emphasing in Broadcast Meteorology. During his time at Mississsippi, he served the East Mississippi Chapter of the NWA/AMS. Also, he served as an elections commission of the Student Association and the 2010 Orientation Leader. To boot, he served in the Campus Crusade for Christ, Rho Chi, and Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

Young serves KARK as a morning meteorologist on KARK 4 Today from 4 to 7 a.m. He joined the Arkansas Storm Team in March 2022. Further, he has more than a decade of experience in broadcasting weather. His work has attained his certification through the American Meteorological Society. Also, he has attained an Emmy nomination and AP awards.
Prior to Little Rock, he served in Memphis at WHBQ FOX13 as a freelance meteorologist. Moreover, he served WTVA as a morning meteorologist. Additionally, he served WLOX as a meteorologist. To boot, he served KDLT as a weekend meteorologist and a weekday reporter. Active in the community, he has raised more than $25,000 for the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Mississippi.
With more than a half-million followers on Tik-Tok, he streams footage from inside the eye of a Category 4, Hurricane Ida. When he is not working, he enjoys hiking, kayaking, and exploring new places off the beaten path.
