Prior to this, he served in Fort Myers at NBC2 for 6 years. During his time in Fort Myers, he provided coverage for several stories that impact the community.
For instance, Lee County Government’s handling of taxpayer-funded VR Labs, student and faculty strife at Edison State College, and President Barack Obama’s initial trip to the Florida Everglades in 2015. In 2014, he attained an Emmy award for his broadcast on a Naples family who migrated to Colorado to search for a proxy treatment in the form of a marijuana-based liquid in for their son’s seizures.
Moreover, in 2013 he served as a member of a team that gained a Regional Edward R. Murrow Award for his broadcast of an underwater art exhibit on board the scuttled U.S.C.G. U.S.S. Mohawk. Furthermore, he has attained a number of Associated Press Awards for his work broadcasting topics such as the 2010 State Amendments and then for his 2012 nonstop broadcast of the sinking of the U.S.S. Mohawk.
However, his passion for the news industry developed when he was young. Nonetheless, his career debuted when he served in Philadelphia at WTXF. Moreover, he served in Trenton, New Jersey at WZBN prior to snowy Syracuse, New York. While in New York, he served WTVH and WSTM as a reporter for two years. On a side note, he enjoys scuba diving, skydiving, and running races.
