Roscoe is an anchor working for WCIA. Her first television appearance was for a report on an automobile accident. Her car was it. A few weeks after beginning her internship in 1992, she was struck in front of the station. Roscoe contested the significance of this. She is still here after 27 years. Roscoe advanced from intern to reporter and then to anchor. She will be on the news at 5:00 and 6:00. Her favorite interviews were for her “Angels Among Us” series, though she has conducted thousands of interviews for thousands of stories.
An Emmy nomination was made for Roscoe’s half-hour show “Angels Among Us- Where Are They Now?” As was her tale from Angels about a janitor at a school. She received an AP award for Best Spot News Reporting as well as Silver Dome Awards for Best Anchor and Best Feature. Additionally, she has anchored several Best Newscast wins.
Jennifer gives back by volunteering at her kids’ schools, the Don Moyer Boys and Girls Club, and S.O.S. (Sisters of Strength). She has also assisted numerous charities in raising money at fundraisers. She was recognized as a Woman of Distinction in 2018 by the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois. Sophia and Tessa, two teens, are the children of Jennifer and Toney. Jennifer enjoys cooking and dining. She must exercise as a result.
