Preval serves WIVB as a weekend anchor and reporter. He joined the News 4 team in 2021. For the past years, he has provided coverage for every big story in Western New York. Prior to WIVB, he served WGRZ as a reporter, multi-media journalist, and fill-in anchor. During his stint there, he served as the lead reporter during the broadcast of the Bethlehem Steel fire which attained an Edward R. Murrow award. Also, he served as part of the station’s Emmy award-winning broadcast of the ‘Snowvember’ storm in 2014. Moreover, he reported from disaster zones throughout Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Maria.
Additionally, he has earned nominations for three Salute to Excellence awards with the National Association of Black Journalists. Before Buffalo, he served at WTAJ in Altoona. While there, he primarily provided coverage for the Jerry Sandusky Scandal at Penn State. In addition to that, he was on reporting during the ‘Penn State riot’ and was on the scene when WTAJ’s live truck was flipped over by Penn State students. WTAJ’s broadcast attained the station a ‘Best Breaking News’ award from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.
Nonetheless, he began his career in New York City at WCBS 880AM as a desk assistant. Moreover, he attained a radio feature award from the Press Club of Long Island. When he is not working, he loves spending his time with his wife and children.
