Dubrof works as a sports anchor and reporter at KCCI 8 News in Iowa. He joined the station in August 2021 as a sports reporter and was later promoted to sports anchor in February 2022. He has been an avid sports fan since childhood, following sports events around his neighbourhood. His most tragic moment in his life came when he suffered two knee surgeries during his time as an athlete. It is from that time that he decided to shift from being a player to being a sideline fan.
Before joining the KCCI news team, Dubrof worked as the weekend sports anchor/sports reporter at KRIS TV in Corpus Christi, Texas. His time at the station saw him covering the 2019 World Series between the Astros and the Nationals, Houston Astros Spring Training, and various high school state championship games. Additionally, Dubrof has worked as a host, play-by-play, and color commentator at KXSC Radio. As a host, Dubrof hosted a sports talk radio show called “The Sports Hour” and also co-hosted “In the Trenches” alongside Garrett Schwartz. He was also the color commentator for the 2017 Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual. Before transitioning to a full-time journalist, Dubrof had interned at FOX Sports and had also served as a production runner at the NBA.
He strongly supports the Atlanta Braves, the San Antonio Spurs, and USC athletics. He occasionally attended Spurs games with his family, where he witnessed his team win five NBA titles. Off-screen, Dubrof enjoys cooking, running, and watching movies.
