Jason Sloss’s Career
Sloss works as a news anchor/reporter at FOX 5. He was brought up as a baseball nut in El Cajon. Before heading to Brigham Young University, he played ball at Grossmont High School. His rotator cuff told him his playing days were over, after a year at the University. Later on, he graduated with a broadcast journalism degree.
In Palm Springs at KESQ, an ABC affiliate, he took a job as a news anchor/reporter. For eight years, he reported everything from natural disasters to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. His most unforgettable moments include covering the funeral of former President Gerald Ford and interviewing former President Bill Clinton.
He feels like it was a privilege to talk one-on-one with several generals along with many of our fine service members and report on operations at the Marine Corps base in Twentynine Palms.
