Prior to working at WPSD Local 6, he worked at WVUA 23 in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama area as a news reporter from August 2018 to May 2019. She also worked as an editor for the same station from January 2018 to August 2018. As an intern, he had the opportunity to cover events and issues throughout Tuscaloosa and the state of Alabama. Kane accepted a position with Spectrum News in Washington D.C. and he is excited to be going there. He began his career two weeks after he graduated college working full-time. He has covered everything from local government to one of the worst severe weather events to ever hit this region.
The anchor announced the bittersweet news of his departure from the station. Kane is leaving WPSD Local 6 after nearly four years. His last month in Paducah was March 2023. His last day anchoring the weekend evening newscasts at WPSD-TV was March 19, 2023, and his official last day was March 24. WPSD Local 6 viewers remember Kane for his work when many struggled to get their unemployment money from the state when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. His efforts bore fruit after three months, and everyone was paid in full. In his free time, Jack enjoys playing soccer and watching Alabama Football.
