He also worked at WMDN-TV in Meridian, MS, and at WCBI-TV in Columbus, MS. He anchors the award-winning High School Football Show: 1st and Ten, and Louisiana Open Extra, a special on the Web.com Tour event in Broussard.
KLFY News 10 Sports created the first High School Basketball Show in Louisiana under his guidance. George’s career in journalism started long before graduating from The University of Mississippi. Since he was a senior at Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie, LA, he has been in the “business” thanks to an internship at WWL870AM and WWL-TV in New Orleans. Throughout his career, he has worked as both a news reporter and anchor, and a sports anchor and reporter. The thrill of his career is being able to cover the 2009 to 2010 New Orleans Saints along with the journey to the franchise’s first Super Bowl Championship.
Faust won a Communicator Award due to his work on the show, “Ole Miss Football” with David Cutcliffe. He has also won numerous A.P. awards. During his free time, he is off to the tee box, chasing those birdies on the golf course. He is a Pelicans fan die-hard New Orleans Saints. His favorite baseball team is the Chicago Cubs. He also loves to spend time with his wife, Cassidy, and their 4 kids Meredith, Parker, Savannah, and Harrison.
