Cornish serves as an assistant chief broadcast meteorologist at AccuWeather. He is also a volunteer firefighter at Alpha Fire Company since 2000 based in Pennsylvania. Prior to working at AccuWeather, he worked at WICU/WSEE where he served as the Chief meteorologist from December 2013 to May 2017 based in Erie, Pennsylvania. In addition to that, he also presented the 5, 5:30, 6, and 11 at WICU and at 10, Monday – Friday at WSEE-TV.
From July 2012 to December 2013, he worked at 13abc WTVG in Toledo, Ohio where he served as the weekend evening meteorologist. He had previously spent about 3 years and 10 months working at WTVQ in Lexington, KY where he served as a meteorologist. In August 2006, he joined KOAM-TV where he served as a reporter and meteorologist till his departure in October 2008.
From December 2006 to September 2008, he worked at Carl Junction Fire Protection District where he served as a volunteer firefighter. He went to Methacon High School where he attained his high school diploma. He later on joined Penn State University where he attained his B.S. in Meteorology in 2004. Whenever he is not working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends.
