Nonetheless, she began her career when she served in Boston as a forecaster. While in Boston, she forecasted for a number of locations nationwide as an on-air bilingual meteorologist with the Weather Company.
This allowed her to attain a broad understanding of the nation’s weather counting droughts in the west, tornado outbreaks in the Midwest, blizzards in the northeast, and hurricanes on the East Coast. However, she landed her initial stint in local news when she served WCSH in Portland, Maine as a freelance meteorologist. Moreover, her passion for weather can be trailed back to 1992 during Hurricane Andrew.
She witnessed firsthand the full power of the storm through a small opening in one window that she begged her father to leave. Plus the ruinous aftereffects of the storm made her want to warn people of looming natural calamities. In 2013, she served NBC6, South Florida as a weekend meteorologist. When she is not working, she serves as a spinning instructor, maintains an active, healthy lifestyle, and spends as much time out on the water as she can. To boot, she loves spending as much time as possible with her family.
