She got her first official TV news job in Steubenville, Ohio at WTOV-9. She worked for 5 years covering the Ohio Valley before confirming that yes, there really is a Kalamazoo, and accepting a position as a morning anchor at WWMT-Newschannel 3, a CBS affiliate in Michigan covering Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo.
During her time in Michigan, Mokay began working as the weekday morning anchor later promoted to primetime, anchoring weeknights at 5, 6, 10, and 11 p.m. She grew up watching Pittsburgh news, idolizing the people she saw on her TV screen. She always hoped to one day have the privilege of working alongside them while also reporting on her favorite city. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, family, and her dog, Lila.
