Also, six years ago, at Boston’s WFXT-TV he was a highly-acclaimed reporter and anchor and was the market’s first full-time helicopter reporter reporting traffic as well as breaking news.
Before that, Meehan worked as a reporter and relief anchor at Boston’s WHDH-TV. Sis years ago, he worked at WFAA-TV in Dallas, TX as an anchor and host of “Good Morning Texas.” He worked also at KTVT-TV also in Dallas as a reporter, at WTSP-TV, Tampa, FL as an anchor, and at KEYE-TV in Austin, TX as an anchor.
Meehan worked as a news, weather, and sports anchor at WPRI-TV in Providence, RI, prior to leaving New England. Before that, he worked at New England Cable News as a reporter. He started his news career at Cape 11 News in South Yarmouth, MA as an anchor and reporter.
In 2006 Boston Magazine honored him as one of Boston’s “The Fabulous 40.” Still the same year, he completed the 110th running of the Boston Marathon. He was brought up in West Yarmouth and joined Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School and then attended Westfield State University in Westfield, MA where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Communication.
