Shipman is a news reporter for CBS46 Atlanta News First. Having almost 25 years of journalism experience he joined the station as a general assignment reporter. Most recently he worked for 22News in Springfield, Massachusetts as anchor and lead investigative reporter.
Don has also extensively reported on the plight of homelessness throughout Massachusetts. He started his news career in TV in his hometown of Utica, New York, as a reporter and evening news anchor. However, he has been actively involved in the United Way, Hospice, the American Heart Association, and is currently a member of the Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists.
Shipman is excited to return to Georgia and proud to call Atlanta home. He and his husband look forward to exploring all that the region has to offer. During his free time, you can find him going on One Wheel adventures, spending family time with his husband and their dog, Bella, drinking way too much coffee (mocha latte), or at his local CrossFit box.
