Walsh joined Peter Albrecht on the desk for News 5 at 5. In 2010 and 2012 the Associated Press honored her as “Alabama’s Best News Anchor.” For her work in 2014, she got named “Anchor of the Year” by the Alabama Broadcasters Association in 2015.
She is happy to be reporting the news where she got her start. Walsh began as an assignment editor and reporter at WKRG after graduating from the McGill-Toolen Catholic High School and The University of Notre Dame. Later on, she anchored the evening news with Mel Showers. Before coming back to Mobile in 2008, she spent six years anchoring at top-rated, Fox 6 WBRC.
