Prior to Philadelphia, she has also worked for WBRE-TV station, which is an NBC affiliate in Wilkes-Barre, PA. There she was working as a co-anchor for the 5 pm, 6 pm, and 11 pm newscasts. Additionally, the 5 pm, and 11 pm newscasts won Emmy Awards for Best Newscasts. She began her television career working as a reporter and anchor for the WFMZ-TV located in Allentown, PA where she worked for about 2 years.
The year 1993 saw her and her partner found the Max and Lorraine Foundation. This is a non-profit foundation that is dedicated towards helping children who suffer from asthma. In collaboration with the Lung Association, the duo established Camp AsthmaCadabra in the Pocono Mountains. The camp was mainly for children who would otherwise be denied a summer camping experience because of their asthma.
