Peck is no stranger to forecasting Northern California weather. He worked at KING 5 in Seattle as a meteorologist before joining the station. He worked for seven years in Sacramento forecasting for FOX40 News as a weekday meteorologist. Peck has worked for more than 2 decades in the business including stops at Orange County NewsChannel, KVVU FOX 5 in Las Vegas, and t KNAZ-TV in Flagstaff, Arizona his very first job.
Besides being honored for an on-air performance with two Emmy awards, he is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) by the American Meteorologist Society (AMS). When he was 19 years old, he visited Yosemite and was determined to never leave and spent the next two summers working and living in the park.
He came back to California State University, Northridge to obtain his degree in Physical Geography with a concentration in Geomorphology and Climatology. Apart from working as a meteorologist, he would study the weather in the morning and talk to anybody who’d listen to him about it for the rest of the day.
