McCarthy is a reporter for NBC26. Being a lifelong Packers fan, she is thrilled to be living in the land of Cheeseheads. She says she has been writing stories. She was always gifted a novel or a notebook by friends and family whenever they didn’t know what to gift her. While at Middle Tennessee State University she worked at a student-run radio station.
Darby’s show centered on discovering and promoting local music artists and interviewing up-and-coming talent. In 2021 she earned a Female DJ of the Year award for her contributions to the station and the success of her program. After completing an internship in her final semester of college with Gannett, in which she wrote for several large newspapers in Tennessee, she accepted a position in Nashville, at WTVF the Scripps partner station to WGBA.
