Smith joined The Nassau Guardian’s broadcast staff shortly after that and started as an anchor and reporter for the nightly OUR News newscast in the Bahamas. She worked as a substitute anchor and multi-media journalist at WDTN in Dayton, Ohio, before moving to Norfolk.
Smith has a broad range of reporting experience. She has covered a wide range of topics, including the drug epidemic, deadly hurricanes, and presidential rallies.
