July 13, 2017, is Crown’s most scornful moment to her, the prosecutors dropped burglary charges against a man misidentified in a 2016 case. The man’s mother requested WHNT News 19 for help to prove her son’s innocence. For a four-month time, she worked countless hours trying to persuade both the prosecution and the defense they had the wrong man.
The assistant district attorney dropped the charges one day before her report aired. The man’s charges were expunged from his once-clean record with the help of the Crown. She particularly reported the Florida Panhandle during her time in Dothan, AL.
