Chris DeRose is an American Actor/Reporter/Producer/Host/Multi-Media Journalist working for CBS Pittsburgh/KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the United States as a News and feature reporter. He joined the station in October 2022. He previously worked in Chicago at On-Cue as a Freelance Professional Actor.

DeRose is a News and Features Reporter for CBS Pittsburgh/KDKA-TV. For over 15 years he has been a host, reporter, actor, and producer. He began his professional career in 2007 in Chicago. After college, he moved to the Windy City to train in comedy and acting at the world-famous Second City Theatre. He quickly became a staple within a year in the Chicago comedy scene. During this time, he was”discovered” while working as a Chicago City Tour Guide onboard a double-decker bus.
Chris was spotted by a producer from a local television giving a fun and engaging tour to locals and offered him a job on TV. He began working on You & Me, a fun morning television show on WCIU-TV as a daily feature reporter. While at You & Me, he logged hundreds of hours both behind and in front of the camera, where he worked on multiple stories at any given time. He was well known for his live morning features, comical man-on-the-street “Movie Trivia,” “Did U Know” history pieces and insightful travel segments.
DeRose moved to Los Angeles, California, at the end of 2016, where he freelanced as a producer, actor, and writer, where he worked on many different productions including several scripted television series and films. While in LA, he worked on the Gilbert Gottfried Amazing Colossal Podcast as a Freelance Producer and at Universal Studios Hollywood as a Studio Tour Guide/VIP Guide. He jumped back into broadcasting, going to work for the EW Scripps Company in Billings, Montana when the COVID-19 pandemic hit and work in Los Angeles stopped.
Chris worked as a Weather Anchor and Multimedia Journalist with KTVQ and the Montana Television Network and worked there from 2020 to 2021. During the Spring of 2021, he moved to another Scripps station, KSTU in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he worked as a Features Reporter with Good Day Utah, as well as a Host and MMJ for the station’s Lifestyle/Entertainment show The Place.
