She joined the station in June 2019. Prior to joining the station, she worked for FOX 19 in Cincinnati, Ohio as a Morning News Anchor/Host.

Gibson serves WWL-TV as an Evening News Anchor/Reporter in New Orleans, LA. She began her job there in 2010 and worked as a desk assistant. In order to sharpen her skills in front and behind the camera, she worked in the newsroom with Reporters, Anchors, and Photographers while at the station. Her work led her to earn a promotion to work as the station’s Associate Producer for the Morning Show.

Gibson’s work behind the scenes landed her a job on the Mississippi Gulf Coast at WLOX-TV as a TV News Producer where she would jump in front of the camera occasionally as a reporter and Fill-in Anchor. She also worked for FOX 19 in Cincinnati, Ohio, and KSLA News 12 in Shreveport.

During her time at FOX19, she served as a breaking news anchor, co-anchor/host of the “Morning Xtra” as well as Producer/Host of “Cincinnati Connection,” a public affairs TV show that explores social and community issues throughout Cincinnati. Further, she produced a special report that explores how jazz music carried the Mississippi River and located its way into Cincinnati’s West End community “The Migration of Sound.” 

During Hurricanes, and breaking news, Gibson anchored numerous hours of reports such as the Hard Rock Collapse and Elections. She is an experienced community advocate and interviewer. “The Talk: A Hard Conversation About Race in America” is her latest project and was named the winner of a national Edward R Murrow and Regional Award for Excellence in Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity.

She received an Emmy Nomination for her documentary on the Freedom Riders and their link to the Greater Cincinnati area at FOX 19. She was nominated as President of the New Orleans Association of Black Journalists in 2022 and serves as an associate of the National Association of Black Journalists. Gibson is the author, host, and producer of “The Talk”, done after the murder of George Floyd and was filmed by photojournalist Derek Waldrip. It clarifies conversations between Black parents and their kids at a particular age on how to stay safe in America.
