Lewis was born and raised in Metro Detroit. He was born a Detroit sports fan and still remains loyal to all four teams- from the glory years of the Red Wings winning Stanley Cup Championships to even the lows of enduring rebuilds. While growing up, he was raised in a pretty highly influenced European household. His father is English and his mother’s side of the family is French.
Calvin is pretty conversational in the language although he is better at interpreting. He is also familiar with the Gulf Coast and says thanks to his grandparents as they own a condo on Anna Maria Island where, as a family, they would visit every year at Easter growing up.

Lewis is a highly educated and qualified man. After graduating from high school with a high school diploma in general studies, he furthered his education at Wayne State University where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism Honors.
Calvin Lewis Career
Lewis is a news reporter for WFTX-TV Fox 4 News. Before coming to Fort Myers and SWFL he was in the Midwest. While at Wayne State University, he was involved with the student radio station WAYN where he worked as a producer on the student-run, PBS program ‘MetroArts Detroit.’ He was then recognized and awarded for some of his work in the school with the W. S. Sprague Holden Memorial Scholarship in Journalism and the Benjamin J. Burns Endowed Scholarship for Excellence in Journalism.
Calvin learned more about the broadcast field through internships with Cumulus Media, Detroit Public Television, and WDIV-TV Local 4 News in downtown Detroit. While attending school and working in Metro Detroit, he also had the opportunity to work as a field reporter and producer during the 2015 Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix. After graduating from college, he was hired by WJMN-TV Local 3 News, the CBS affiliate in Marquette, MI to serve as a multi-media journalist and reporter.
Throughout his time in the good old U.P., Lewis also worked for a half-hour program called the Local 3 High School Sports Zone as a fill-in anchor and co-host. In 2017 he was awarded the Photojournalist of the year by the Michigan Association of Broadcasters for his work as a photojournalist. After being in Marquette, he moved to the south- pun intended- to Green Bay, WI where he worked for WJMN’s sister station and CBS affiliate WFRV-TV Local 5 News. While there he worked for two years as the morning reporter. She also filled in at the anchor desk on occasion during the weekend broadcasts.
During his free time, he enjoys getting outside any way he can (whether it be running or hiking), tasting craft beers, traveling, and watching sports- especially the Premier League on weekends. He is a HUGE Tottenham Hotspur fan.
