She also worked as a news reporter at NewsChannel 9 WSYR in Syracuse from June 2012 to June 2015. Additionally, she was the news anchor and reporter for CNY Central from June 2010 to June 2012. Furthermore, she worked as an anchor and reporter for WBNG TV 12 in Brighamton from June 2008 to June 2010.
Caitlin is filled with excitement and gratitude as she returns to the station where she believes her journalism journey began. Back in 2007, during her time at the University of Connecticut, Caitlin completed an internship at WFSB. Afterward, she dedicated seven years to reporting and anchoring at various stations in Upstate New York, gaining valuable experience before her homecoming for an anchor role at News 12 Connecticut in Norwalk in 2015.
Throughout her career, Caitlin has covered a wide range of stories, from devastating weather events to soaring with the Blue Angels, and has had the privilege of meeting numerous remarkable individuals who entrusted her with their stories. Her outstanding work has earned her multiple awards, notably for her coverage of the 2009 mass shooting in Binghamton, NY.
Caitlin’s stories have received recognition from esteemed organizations such as the New York State Broadcasters Association, the Syracuse Press Club, and the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists. In a significant achievement in 2020, Caitlin was honored with an Edward R. Murrow Award for her exceptional feature reporting.
