Taff works with the 6abc News team where she is serving as a co-anchor for the noon and evening news at 4 p.m. Here he has been able to cover several stories throughout her time in the station. During the massive BP oil spill, which threatened the coast of the Southern United States, he was able to travel all the way to Florida and Alabama in order to show the viewers the stunning images. In addition, when the Catholic Church began the process of electing a new Pope, he spent weeks in Rome, Italy, in order to bring Action News side the age-old traditions of the Vatican.
Taff was invited to the White House when Barack Obama saw his first term bogged down by souring polls, where he had an exclusive interview and conversation with the President in the historic Cabinet Room. In addition, he also brought his passion for politics on the roads as he was covering every Presidential and Vice Presidential Debate in the year 2012 election cycle. Additionally, among other stories, he has covered includes a story flying at speeds higher than 700mph and forces greater than 9Gs with the US Air Force Thunderbirds. He has, in addition, gone to the race track to test drive cars with the experts at Consumer Reports.
Prior to 6abc, he was working with Capital Tonight where he was serving the station as an anchor and editor. This is a nightly news and interview show that is seen all across upstate New York. In this role, he was covering news of statewide significance and also conducted a live long-form interview with every major politician and newsmaker in New York State after winning the Associated Press Award for “Best Interview” in two consecutive years.
Through his watch, the show has created a weekly half-hour program seen in Albany and later expanded to a nightly hour program that is syndicated live at 9 of New York’s10 television markets. This often not simply just covering headlines but also generating the headlines. In addition to working as an anchor for Capital Tonight, he broadcast live from all across the country including the National Political Conventions in the years 2004 and 2008.
Previously, he was also working for the Capital News 9 located in Albany, New York where he was working as a weekend anchor and reporter. He is a proud graduate of Boston College where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism. Taff later kickstarted his career working as a broadcast journalist with the WVII-TV located in Bangor, Maine, United States. He is very happy and proud to be part of the 6abc News team and also to be covering the day-to-day events of the Delaware Valley Region where his family calls home.
Away from work, he enjoys spending time in the water. When the weather decides to interfere with boating, he can be found hiking, skiing, and or simply enjoying life outdoors with his family.
