Roche serves as the weekday 5 p.m. anchor at WGAL-TV based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. In addition to this role, he also serves as an investigative and consumer reporter for WGAL’s The 8 On Your Side. Prior to working at WGAL-TV, he worked at KGAN-TV where he served as an anchor as well as a managing editor based in Cedar Rapids, Lowa. He had previously spent about 12 years and 6 months working at WBRE-TV/WYOU where he served as a weather personality, sports reporter, anchor, and producer.
Roche has also won several awards and honors including numerous Emmy nominations and several Associated Press Awards. In addition to that, he was also recognized by the Associated Press and also received other awards from several organizations. In 1979, he joined Marywood University where he attained his Bachelor’s Degree in Communications and Public Relations in 1983.
Roche is also an active board member of the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey since January 2009. In January 2017, he joined the Board of Directors for Tenfold Lancaster (formerly Tabor Community Services). Whenever he is not busy working, he enjoys spending his free time with his family and friends. In addition to that, he also enjoys biking, golfing, and home repair projects.
