Holland now anchors East Texas News at 5, KLTV News at 6, and is a reporter for KLTV/KTRE. He joined the station in August 2018 and has been here ever since. Holland has always been passionate about journalism from a young age. When he was 14, he went to work part-time for KGAS Radio in Carthage and when he was in elementary school he was already working on-air.
In high school, he started anchoring KGAS Radio’s 5 p.m. newscasts and was also serving as a news director. After finishing high school he went to the University of North Texas. Here he served as the Assistant News Director of the award-winning campus television station. Prior to joining his current station, he worked as an anchor and reporter for NewsRadio 1080 KRLD and the Texas State Network in Dallas.
Holland is a hard-working individual and there’s no doubt about that. In both 2015 and 2016, the readers of The Panola Watchmen Newspapers voted him “Best Reporter” and “Best Radio Personality in Panola Country. In 2019, the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters named him ‘Best Anchor ‘ for his work at KLTV and KTRE. In addition, he is the recipient of two Lone Star EMMY Student Production Awards.
