Additionally, Kaplan was a member of the KFBB News team from October 2013 to August 2016, where he served as a weekday evening news anchor during the 5 pm, 6 pm, 9 pm, and 10 pm newscast.
Kaplan spent his early years as a journalist at FOX Sports, where he served as a production assistant. From FOX Sports, Kaplan moved to Great Falls, Montana, where he joined KFBB-TV as a news anchor, producer, and reporter. During his time at the station, Kaplan anchored the 5:30 pm newscasts and co-anchored the 10 p.m. newscasts on weekdays. Additionally, Kaplan worked as a sports anchor and reporter for ABC 7 WWSB-TV in North Port and KXLY-TV in the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene Area.
Notably, Kaplan holds an AP award and a “Service to America Award”, which he was awarded in 2019 by the National Association of Broadcasters, for the impact his reports made to the community.
