While there she woke up Texoma viewers with breaking news stories from Texas, Oklahoma, and across the world. Her career in journalism has taken her from New York to London and back to the United States.
Ava has worked for Charlie Rose and News 12 in New York and Bloomberg News in the London Bureau. Being a passionate journalist, there is nothing more important to Van than getting to know the local people and reporting on things that help and are of interest to them; community stories. She is also thrilled to be in Tallahassee and closer to her family in Palm Beach.
During her free time, Van likes to exercise and explore new places and all of the wonderful restaurants Tallahassee has to offer. She is also an animal rights activist who is always willing to help local shelters and raise awareness of the importance of spaying and neutering pets and the rewards of adopting animals in need.
