Carpino is the Weekend Evening Meteorologist at WRDW. He also fills in for Tim Strong or Riley Hale during the week. He joined the station as a Weekend Morning Meteorologist and Multimedia Journalist. He gained experience at News 7, the college TV station, where he provided live weather forecasts to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont.
While there Anthony covered all types of weather ranging from winter snowstorms to severe thunderstorms. His most unforgettable memory weather event was a 3-to-5-day period of freezing fog where everything from the grass to the trees was coated in a thin layer of white rime ice. He is excited to take a break from Vermont winters and looks forward to winter in the CSRA.
Carpino also gained experience while working at NBC Connecticut where he was a weather intern during the summer of 2018. While there he created weather graphics and participated in severe weather coverage including tornado coverage. During his free time, he enjoys looking through his telescope at the night sky, hiking, and boating. His favorite TV shows are “The Walking Dead” and “Parks and Recreation”. When it comes to sports, he loves rooting for his favorite Boston sports teams.
