A few years later, she moved to Northern Virginia then Maryland where she became a reporter and fill-in anchor at NBC25, now WDVM-TV. there, she was nominated for two Edward R. Murrow awards. The first time around, Angela worked as a freelance journalist and web producer for WVEC13 in Norfolk. She remembers the thrill of being the first reporter on the scene when an elderly Virginia Beach woman who had gone missing was eventually discovered safe.
She had a noteworthy encounter with the wife of a deceased Norfolk police officer while off-duty when she conducted an exclusive interview with her. Angela returned to Hampton Roads after a few years away and has been involved in the neighborhood. She presided over the PTA for a Virginia Beach elementary school for two years. She attended the Virginia Beach Citizens’ Police Academy and is engaged in her religion.
During her free time, Angela enjoys spending time with her family, which includes their Corgi rescue dog, husband, son, and daughter. She enjoys playing tennis, attending concerts, traveling, taking pictures, and SCUBA diving when she gets the chance. She is also a trained aqua fitness instructor and a qualified group fitness instructor. Fun fact: She and everyone in her close family write with their left hand.
