Throughout his career, Coleman has won several awards including, Emmy awards for WREG’s “Memphis On a Mission-Team Read“ specials and On a Mission-Breaking the Cycle” & “Memphis. Coleman has hosted the Memphis Latino Leadership Awards, the Blues 4 Prostate Cancer Education concert featuring Buddy Guy & Bobby Rush, the NAACP Freedom Fund Gala, the National Civil Rights Museum’s Freedom Awards, the Zion Community Project ceremony, the Blues Music Awards Show, and the Latino Memphis Gala. Coleman speaks to civic groups and schools. He is a member of NATAS and the National Association of Black Journalists.
