She is looking forward to covering issues that impact all Georgians for Atlanta News First and all of the gray stations in Georgia. She fell in love with the Peach State on a college visit and committed to The University of Georgia shortly after.
Abby began her career at 13WMAZ in Macon, Georgia as a political reporter. While working in Central Georgia, she covered the Macon-Bibb County commission. Her stories shed a light on violations brought against officials, efforts to address the blight problems, and officer shortages. Later she moved to report at WVLT in Knoxville, Tennessee after working for 2 years in Macon. While at WVLT she reported on weekdays and anchored the weekend morning show.
While in Knoxville one of Koulouris” most notable stories she covered was the devastating wildfire in Wears Valley that spread across thousands of acres within a matter of days. 24 hours news updates kept people away from the area before it was safe to return. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, cheering on the Georgia Bulldawgs, and hiking.
