Chris Wright is an American Emmy-Award-Winning Meteorologist/Author working as a Chief Meteorologist for CBS 4 News since joining the station’s weather team in 2014. He served the station as a Chief meteorologist for about 22 years now and anchors the weather for CBS 4 weeknights at 5, 6, and 11 p.m.

Prior to joining CBS 4, he was serving at WTHR-TV where she was serving as a primary meteorologist for about 14 years where she served for the evening news at 5, 6, and 11 p.m. While working at Indianapolis, she received several awards. The month of June 2012 saw her being made an inductee of the Silver Circle of the Lower Great Lakes Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).
He began his career working in Memphis his hometown where he was working for WMC-TV as a weather assistant. Later on, in the year 1987, he became the morning meteorologist for WMBRC-TV located in Birmingham before moving on to WLWT-TV located in Cincinnati one year later. The year 1995 saw him work in Sacramento, California where he was working for KOVR-TV.
He however later in 1996 moved back to Indianapolis. In each and every of the named cities, he was the first African-American meteorologist in market history.
