Brent Cameron Education
Upon completion of his high school education, Cameron went on to join Ball State University. After completing his undergraduate studies, he became its alumnus with a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications. During his college years, he served as a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. From 1990 to 1991, he served as an elected Student Body President. Moreover, he joined Mississippi State University and after completing his studies, he attained his Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Meteorology.

Cameron serves WSVN as a weekend meteorologist on evenings during 7 NEWS at 5, 6, 10, and 11:00 p.m. Occasionally, he serves as a substitute for Chief Meteorologist Phil Ferro. He served the 7news team in the summer of 1999. When storms bode, he calmly directs his audience during the stormy weather and briefs them on the preparations done.
Also, he forecasts the very latest tide details and provides boating forecasts. His forecasting encounter encompasses a span of weather such as mountains, ocean waters, and lots of volatile flatland in between. However, his forecasting career debuted when he served in western Montana. Further, he served in Missoula KPAX-TV as its primary weather anchor in 1994.
A year later, he was employed to serve in Ft. Wayne Indiana at WPTA. During his stint there, he tracked tornadoes and monitored wild weather extremes in the Midwest for 5 years. In 2003, he served in Indianapolis, Indiana at WTHR. Later, he rejoined WSVN and served as a weekend evening meteorologist. Some of his weather highlights include; broadcasting the “Indy 500” Tornado Outbreak of 2004, and Hurricane Wilma in 2005.
Both happenings made an effect by fortifying his respect for nature. Occasionally, he speaks to south Florida classrooms and tells them that assisting people throughout major events makes meteorology worthwhile. Formerly, he served as a host of the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon. Else, he has donated his time to the Make a Wish Foundation. Further, he serves as an ardent animal lover who has served alongside the Humane Society on several events. Currently, he serves as a member of the National Weather Association.
