Williams holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist Seal (CBM) from the American Meteorological Society. This is among the highest certification awarded to broadcast meteorologists. Additionally, he holds the seal of approval from the (NWA) National Weather Association.
His long-time passion for meteorology dates all the way back to his childhood in South Carolina. Then, he survived Hurricane Hugo. Since then, he has always had a passion for weather and is always fascinated by it. Additionally, from then, he knew that weather would be part of his career.
Additionally, he taught meteorology to academically gifted students as a part of the talent identification program for Duke University. Away from work, he loves volunteering in the community and visiting schools to talk about the weather. Additionally, he loves the outdoors, cooking, and fishing. Being a foodie, he enjoys Philadelphia area restaurants.
