Lewis began his pursuit of higher education at Fullerton College (1981 to 1984), where he studied radio and television. He later enrolled at California State University East Bay and pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, graduating cum laude in 2009. At KOLO-TV, Lewis serves as the co-anchor of Good Morning Reno and is responsible for delivering the weekday 5 a.m to 7 a.m newscast alongside Rebecca Kitchen.
He joined KOLO-TV in January 2024 and continues to be a key figure in the KOLO-TV newsroom. In addition to his on-air role, Lewis continues sports broadcasting as the radio play-by-play announcer for Sacramento State football and the Bay Area Panthers (Indoor Football League). As a play-by-play announcer, he has called more than 500 Division I basketball games, including three NCAA Tournaments, a Final Four, and a WNIT Championship.
Before joining KOLO-TV, Lewis served as an evening sports anchor at KCBS San Francisco for 21 years, a fixture in Bay Area sports coverage.
