At WGAL, Barcaro is well known for his award-winning coverage, such as leading the production of several documentary specials, e.g., the history of Native American boarding schools, youth homelessness, and second chances for juvenile lifers.
Additionally, he is well-known for his annual reporting at the Pennsylvania Farm Show, and together, this coverage has garnered him accolades, including Mid Atlantic Regional Emmy Awards, several Pennsylvania Association of Broadcaster Awards, and Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. Prior to joining WGAL NEWS 8, Barcaro served as a news reporter for KHBS/KHOG, the Hearst affiliate in Northwest Arkansas.
