Season 12 marks Snowden’s very 1st time on “Below Deck” – he joins the crew as the chef. While he brings years of cooking and yachting experience, he says that this is his very 1st time dealing with the pressure of cameras following his every move.
After the 1st episode of “Below Deck” Season 12 aired on June 2, Snowden appeared visibly stressed. He admitted he was feeling overwhelmed and close to a panic attack while trying to manage breakfast in the galley. He said that the pressure of the job (combined with constant cameras in his face) became too much – so he decided to quit after just 1 day. Fraser Olender (Chief Steward) was shocked by the sudden exit, but Captain Kerry Titheradge chose not to convince Snowden to stay – Kerry said that he needed a chef he could rely on.
With Snowden gone, Fraser Olender (Chief Steward) suggested bringing back Chef Anthony Iracane from Season 11. He acknowledged Anthony had struggles in the past. However, Fraser believed that he was talented and had improved since leaving the show. Captain Kerry Titheradge was unsure – he remembered Anthony’s past mental health challenges, but Fraser reassured him that Anthony had grown more confident and had been working steadily on other boats since.
This show follows young crew members who live and work on large luxury yachts. They travel to beautiful places while taking care of demanding guests – from wild party groups to rich travelers.
