He has reported weather events and major stories over the years including nearly 17 hours on the air the day of the station’s April 98 Tennessee tornado outbreak.
During a record-breaking 2005 season, he was honored to also assist with the stations’ hurricane reporting over the years, with several trips to the Gulf Coast. In his free time, Orne keeps busy with multiple hobbies including home repair, flying, and golf. He loves giving his time to various Nashville organizations including The Nashville McDonald House and Second Harvest Food Bank.
