He worked with some of the best journalists in the world through internships rewarded by 11Alive WXIA Atlanta, Louisville Metro TV, and NBC Nightly News in New York. He was taught all sorts of jobs in front of and behind the camera by the journalism department. Hargett relocated to Atlanta after graduate school and worked at CAU-TV as the host of the show “Common Sense with Kenley Hargett.”

His name was called by Texas after he worked at CAU-TV and served KYTX CBS 19 in Tyler as a Multimedia Journalist/Anchor. He earned an Emmy nominee for his reporting skills. He is an associate of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated, and of NABJ (National Association of Black Journalists). Through the Clark Atlanta University Newsbreak program, he taught students Intro to Journalism. A constant adventure he will never forget is reporting stories was a constant adventure and traveling across the five boroughs of New York City. When he is not working, he loves traveling, reading investment journals, gaming, and trying new eateries.
