While reporting stories in the Upstate of South Carolina and Western North Carolina, she covered violent crime that devastated families, wildfires that scorched thousands of acres, the arrest of a serial killer, and violent crime that devastated families.
She worked in Augusta, Georgia at WAGT (NBC) and WJBF (ABC) as a Weekend News Anchor/Reporter. In Georgia, she worked as a General Assignment Reporter/MMJ and worked with Photog or a one-man-band to edit packages, VOs, and VOSOTs and edit. Also, she reported a wide range of topics from talking to the family of one of three children killed in a car accident, to a continued report of a local school system’s fight to save failing schools from a state takeover and the case of a missing priest from Jacksonville, Florida, found murdered in Burke County.
Prior to that, she worked for WUFT-TV in Gainesville, Florida Area as an Anchor, Reporter, and Producer for one year and five months. Also in the Gainesville, Florida Area, she served as a Nightside Reporter which was her first job from August 2012 to May 2014. Smith earned many exclusive stories for her compassion for people.
